Conservation organizations realize that good mapping is essential to watershed and site planning, baseline and natural features
inventories, project analysis, and monitoring of protected areas.
ORLT has a fully capable GIS department supporting our own conservation activities with a variety of GIS tools, including digital data and
imagery, integrated databases and GPS.
Maps are created in AutoCAD Map 2000 because of its accuracy, broad capabilities, wide use, and
acceptance by surveyors, land use planners, engineers and non-conservation professionals.
Maps can be used and further developed in ArcView or other software. |
These mapping samples all
represent one project to show some of the types of maps we can create. Other
possibilities might include a point-to-point route for periodic monitoring of
the property. Or topic-oriented maps showing things like logging roads, or
firebreaks, or timber reserve areas. Or adjacent property owners and boundaries.
Or labels on specific features -- historic buildings, endangered species, scenic
overlooks, caves...Your imagination is the limit!

both.
For a relatively simple map on a topographic base, the price is $12.
For air photo base, the price is $12 plus the cost of acquiring the air photos. Please contact us regarding availability and the number of air photos required for coverage of your property.
