Empowering People to Protect the Ozarks Forever

Protected Lands

ORLT has a long track-record of successful land conservation in the Ozarks.  In recent years, the bulk of this activity has been in the area of conservation easements on large farms and forests.  These lands remain in private ownership, but their conservation values and scenic qualities are now protected in perpetuity.

ORLT also owns more than 4,000 acres of nature preserves and sustainably managed forests.  Many of these lands are open for exploration upon request.
